Sunday Scoop!

Good Afternoon,

I hope everyone is still enjoying this break we have had from our typical routine for a few days! I will keep this short so that everyone can still soak in the last of their time off.

We do have some exciting news about one of our South Staff members that I wanted to share with all of you. Did you know that Mr. Rush Gershon, our Music Teacher, is in one of Boston’s longest running local ensembles, the Either/Orchestra? The local ensemble is celebrating 40 years on December 17th at the Regattabar in Cambridge. The band has served as a launch pad for dozens of successful artists, including John Medeski, Matt Wilson, Miguel Zenón, and Jaleel Shaw. Please enjoy this article here Mr. Gershon Article #1 and this one here Mr. Gershon Article #2. Our South students really enjoy Mr. Gershon as their music teacher. Last year was one of our best music concerts yet. The concert this year is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24th so please put that date aside. He really does put on an upbeat and creative show with our students.
